M is a member of an underground hacker collective operating inside Metacity. She is a friend of Girl. In many instances she is seen side-by-side another technomancer only known as the dreamcast hacker.

Alone in Metacity
Girl first meets M during her visit in Metacity. M is handing out leaflets with the insignia of a cyber mantis. Girl later comes across a subterranean bar with the same insignia and meets the other underground hackers there during a live show of lo0.
Sometime during that event M and Girl become friends. While skeptical, Puffy is tolerant of the friendship and even allows M to visit their secret hide-out in the desert.

hackers.town is a collective of underground hackers operating deep inside MATACORP territory fighting against
the oppresive regime of the GovCorp and helping liberate both machines and beings. Puffy and Girl are known to be in direct contact with the
cult collective, often exchanging information.
