The unnamed apprentice of the FISH, only referred to as the last student. His death resulted in Puffy's 80 year long period of self-imposed exile, until meeting Girl.

Puffy's last student died during the battle of King's Hold, resulting in his master abandoning the society of free people and machines.
The last student was the previous owner of the OpenWellington brain bus, before it was installed in Techno-Mage. He also wielded OpenBlade, but the weapon refuses to acknowledge any previous owners, possibly due to grief.
Appearances
The last student only appeared in a flashback scene in Entropy, and a briefly in King's Hold, as the previous owner of OpenWellington.
