Two fully sentient MATA mercenaries patrol the desert. Junior and Senior.

Senior: "You want to say something. What is it?"

Junior: "The hackers... they keep elderly machines alive for decades past their expiry dates."

Senior: "Unlike them we're not monsters. We let machines die with grace once they grow old."

Junior: "...that makes sense I guess. Man... imagine dying of old age at 6 months."
