Fosschild and their friend stand by a ruined basketball court in a shady part of the city. The horizon is decorated by skyscrapers with digital billboards featuring advertisements for 'MATAMART - we'll tell you what you need' and 'JACK2HEAD_VISOR'.
The court is surrounded by dilapidated apartment buildings and broken billboard screens. In the foreground, a sign covered in graffiti says: "Unplug and Play outside!"
Fosschild and their friend begin walking across the court. "I don't know what I expected... They said it'd be fixed 3 months ago... sometimes I feel like they don't really care about us.."
MEANWHILE IN AN APARTMENT BUILDING NEARBY.
A METACITY SPECIAL POLICE UNIT stack up by an apartment door, heavily armed, ready to breach.
MATA_BOT: "GO GO GO!"
The bot team break the door, guns blazing. There is a single person browsing the internet on their laptop, caught by the rain of bullets from the bots' fire.
LATER: A MATAPD detective in a trench coat, seemingly human, enters the apartment and approaches one of the MATA_BOTS.
Bot: "Detective?"
Detective: "Captain, what's the situation?"
Bot: "One hacker down. Approximately 14 minutes ago the bastard tried accessing MATAVIDS with an unsupported browser."
Another bot is examining the corpse.
